the challenge

Re-design of software for a company specializing in large-scale 3D printers, aiming to commercialize its proprietary software.

The project's focus was to create an intuitive and efficient workflow, along with a modern and user-friendly interface aligned with Caracol’s brand identity.

The project was carried out by a team of three. My role included participating in user interviews, gathering and analyzing feedback to extract key insights, collaborating in the design of the new UI, and creating effective 3D visualizations as a simulation of the software.

After conducting a competitor analysis, we selected a group of experienced users of similar software for targeted interviews. The goal was to identify both pain points and strengths of existing solutions, ensuring that the redesign was based on solid insights and real user needs.

Once we had collected and structured the research insights, we initiated an iterative process with the client to redesign the software’s flowchart. We then moved on to the interface, defining the new functional and visual parameters to create a more intuitive, high-performing digital product aligned with business objectives.
